#BundestagFirstSaid Bot now uses Open Parliament TV API for Quotes
The context bot for Bundestag First Said now uses the Open Parliament TV API to generate quote cards and link directly to the exact text passage in the context of the speech. This makes the full quote visible at a glance and the corresponding video segment immediately playable.
The Bundestag First Said bot posts words that are said in the German Bundestag for the first time. Technically, the update works by identifying a sentence that contains the word from text data available in Open Parliament TV. A URL is then built from timing information (start/end) and a fragment parameter to address the quote precisely and trigger Open Parliament TV to automatically generate a quote card.
